"A dog's life in the city is not an easy one. How can you expect your pooch to reach his or her full potential when all you're offering in the way of personal-growth opportunities is a walk around the block a couple of times a day? In the ever expanding world of continuing ed for canines, Andrea Arden is Ivy League."

"Andrea Arden: YES! She is that good. Let me tell you, she knows her stuff. It was great to meet with someone so knowledgeable about dog behavior, and she offered some great tips."

"Andrea Arden Dog Training is really the best training service in the City and my experience confirmed this. What surprised me was the attention paid to my dog and I and the small size of the classes. There is a reason they have so many, positive reviews from publications and others in New York!"

"I cannot begin to describe how helpful this book [Dog Friendly Dog Training] was to me. Being the owner of an extremely difficult and what I thought was an unmanageable dog, I had almost lost hope. It was quite a relief when I learned that I didn't have to be harsh when teaching my dog basic manners. Many thanks to the author!"

"As a trainer, I am always on the lookout for books to recommend to my clients, and this book [Dog Friendly Dog Training] is one of them. It is an excellent resource for pet owners who want to teach their dogs the basics. The format and instructions are clear and easy to follow, and the photographs make it practically foolproof. Andrea encourages the use of positive, reward-based methods which are based on sound scientific principles. Following the training guidelines in this book will result in not only a better trained dog, but will enhance the bond between you and your dog as well."

"I had the chance to work with Andrea Arden when I lived in Manhattan and gotten my Yorkie Puppy. I find her methods to be right on. I had two copies of this book already that I had given to friends when they got their puppies. I had to get another one for me! With her methods it is actually fun for you and your dog to learn. I use it as a refresher for my dog all the time. Even when my Buggy gets a little out of control, because I get a little slack, she snaps right back and can't wait to learn all over again. I have also used it to help friends that have gotten new puppies and have found reward training to be extremely successful. Also her ideas about exposing your dog to as many different things as possible early on in life works like a charm. I have to say I have a fearless well behaved Yorkie who can adjust to any situation that may come up. When I got a second dog I took him to other trainers since I no longer live in New York. I did it so I could socialize the new pup but what ended up happening was I was asked how certain things were to be done and if I was interested in coming to work for them! This book is simple to follow and easy to do, and I can guarantee you will have as much fun as your dog!"

"This is the best dog training book [Dog Friendly Dog Training] I have read...and I've read plenty. I have beagles...and do foster care for a beagle rescue. I recommend this book to everyone who takes one of our dogs because the training isn't totally geared to puppies like most other training books. It's very useful information for anyone adopting a dog of any age...it makes sense...and it's easy to do, common sense training."
