Behavior Problem Solving

Our dog behavior and training experts are committed to helping people learn how to help their dogs become wonderful, mannerly canine companions.

If you are starting off with a new pup and want to focus on housetraining, preventing and resolving puppy nipping, separation anxiety, excessive barking, inappropriate chewing, and socialization we offer private lessons, group puppy kindergarten classes, and puppy play groups designed specifically for the new puppy parent.

We also offer private lessons and group dog training classes for adolescent and adult dogs covering basic thru advanced obedience and manners which includes: attention, name recognition, sit, down, stand, stay, settle/relax, come when called, walking nicely on leash, impulse control, teaching polite greeting (anti-jumping), and working on improving dog to dog and dog to people social skills.

For those who see the endless benefits of continuing training, our tricks and agility programs are wonderful ways to mentally and physically enrich their dogs life while at the same time improving the canine/human bond and of course teaching behaviors that are sure to impress friends and neighbors!

Over the past 15 years we have developed a behavior modification program which excels at helping pet parents prevent and resolve some of the most common dog behavior problems including separation anxiety, excessive barking, sidewalk vacuuming, inappropriate chewing and destructive behavior, fear and shyness, and aggression (dog to dog and dog to human).

Using an approach that makes it easy for you and your dog to understand and enjoy the process, we use a positive reward based method which includes food rewards, verbal and physical praise and life rewards such as play, going for a walk, and fetching a toy to get your dog to want to do what you want.

Dog behavior problems can be prevented and solved. All it takes is an effective and gentle approach, understanding and patience to help your dog achieve maximum behavioral health and well-being.
